Adcole Expands Large-Part Measurement Portfolio with New 911-130 and 911-180 Gages and Enhanced 1200-HC Capacity

Marlborough, MA — Adcole LLC, a global leader in precision metrology solutions for rotating components, announces the introduction of two new large-capacity models in its renowned 911 Gage product line, the 911-130 and 911-180, as well as expanded capacity for its 1200-HC High-Capacity gages. These additions further strengthen Adcole’s position as the premier provider of high-accuracy measurement solutions for some of the world’s largest and most demanding precision rotating components.
Driven by increasing demand from the power generation and heavy earth-moving equipment industries, manufacturers are producing larger camshafts, crankshafts, rotor assemblies, transmission components, and other precision-machined shafts that require the same level of measurement accuracy traditionally associated with smaller components. Adcole’s latest gage enhancements address this growing market need by extending measurement capabilities without compromising the precision and reliability customers have come to expect.
The new 911-130 and 911-180 models significantly increase the size range of parts that can be inspected on the industry-proven 911 platform. Designed for large camshafts, turbine shafts, gear shafts, and other critical rotating components, the new models provide manufacturers with the ability to verify complex geometries and dimensional characteristics on increasingly larger workpieces that can weigh up to 680 kg (1,500 lb); double the standard 911 weight capacity. These two new models can accommodate a maximum part length of 3,302mm (130”) for the 911-130 and 4,572mm (180”) for the 911-180.
In addition, Adcole has increased the swing capacity of its High-Capacity 1200-HC gage line, which is used to measure large rotating components in heavy industrial applications. The 1200 series is the only shaft gaging system that uses laser interferometry, delivering the highest level of precision in the industry. On its two largest models, the 1200-HC 130 and 1200-HC 180, swing capacity has been increased by 18% to 660 mm (26.0 in). This upgrade allows the system to measure larger and more complex parts while maintaining the sub-micron accuracy, repeatability, and automation that Adcole systems are known for.
